Appalachian Symphony

Appalachian Symphony, which began in 2015, is a FREE mentoring music education program open to anyone of any age or experience level. Experienced musicians meet once a week to jam a little and teach anyone who wants to learn. With a primary focus on string instruments, the Symphony is happy to help you pick up your first banjo, guitar, ukulele, fiddle, or even a huge upright bass! The best part? These sessions are completely free! If you have your own instrument, feel free to bring it, but if not there are many to choose from at each gathering.

Currently, the Symphony meets most Saturdays at 11am at the Pike County Extension Office. Locations and times change a lil sometimes so the best way to get involved for some free pickin' and strummin' lessons is by joining the Appalachian Symphony Facebook group page.
